Yvone M. McGill

Yvonne Mizelle McGill, 91, of Lake Butler passed away on June 11, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. McGill was a lifelong resident of Union County. She was born December 4, 1924 to the late Warren Brodie and Georgie Lee Yarborough Mizelle. She was the Salutatorian of the Union County High School graduating class of 1943. She married her high school sweetheart Este Page McGill in 1944 and enjoyed 71 years of marriage. Yvonne worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Henry S. Blank MD in Gainesville for 44 years, until retiring in 1990. Yvonne was a member of Sardis Baptist Church in Worthington Springs for many years where she was very active in the Women's Missionary Union. After retirement, she and Page were long time members of the New River Ramblers Camping Club where they enjoyed traveling and seeing the United States.

Yvonne is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years Este Page McGill who passed away in January 2016, her parents Brodie and Georgie Mizelle, sister Marjorie Mizelle Roberts, brothers "Warren" Brodie Mizelle, and James "Lamar" Mizelle. She is survived by her three daughters Priscilla Seay (Clarence), Melissa Williams (Doyle), and Mary Page Ellis (Dwayne), all of Lake Butler, 6 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

The family will be receiving guests at Sardis Baptist Church on Tuesday evening, June 14 at Sardis Baptist Church from 6:00 - 8:00pm. Services will be held Wednesday, June 15 at 10:00 am at Sardis Baptist Church with burial following at Elzey Chapel Cemetery.
