William Dennis Sewell, Jr.

William Dennis Sewell, Jr., age 80, passed away on December 30, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family after an extended illness. William was born on September 2, 1943, to the late William D., Sr. and Ruth Leigh Surratt Sewell in Savannah, GA. He had a long and successful career as a sales associate and paint mixer for Scotty's and later Lowes until his retirement. William was a simple man who didn't require a lot to make him happy. He enjoyed traveling and gambling. Taking a trip with his wife Shirley for a chance at a casino table always piqued his interest. He was also a member of the Army National Guard and took pride in serving our country. William is preceded in death by his parents, William D. Sewell Sr. and Ruth Leigh Suratt Sewell; and his sister, Peggy Harris.

William is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Shirley Dampier Sewell of Lake Butler; his two daughters: Tammy Ann Olive of Coco, FL; and Terry Ann (Darren) Smith of Fernandina Beach, FL; stepsons: Joseph (Tammy) Thomas of Brooker, FL and Frankie Lee (Sandy) Thomas of Kathleen, FL; his grandchildren: Matthew Olive and Faith Smith.
