William "Scooter" Boyd Jackson

William “Scooter” Boyd Jackson, Jr. of Lulu passed away at his home on December 30, 2021. He was born in Lake City to Martha Lee and William Boyd "Bill Boy" Jackson, Sr. Scooter was blessed with a bonus mom when he was a young child who has been a big part of his life; Elizabeth Ann "Tiny" Jackson. Scooter spent his whole life in logging and was a member of the Master Logger Association. He was an avid gun collector. His daughter Leila was the light of his life and he was very proud of her. Scooter loved his neices and newphews very much. He was a comedian of sorts who enjoyed joking around. He also enjoyed going to auctions and cooking for his family. He loved hosting and organizing family get togethers as well as helping others. Scooter is preceded in death by his father, Bill Boy Jackson; his brothers, Jon and Sam Sanders; Grandmother Olene Douberly; and Grandfather, Delbert Croft, Sr.

Scooter is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Elaine Jackson; daughter, Leila Jackson; mother, Martha Tilton all of Lulu; bonus mother, Elizabeth Jackson; brother, Neal Tilton of Palatka; sisters, Lee (William) Tilton-Coots of Lulu and Becky (Tony) Malphurs of Bland; and his grandmother, Elizabeth Blevins.

A service for Scooter will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Archer-Milton Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.
