Weldon Starling

Weldon R. Starling, age 82, passed away at Orange Park Medical Center on April 12, 2023. Born August 8, 1940, in Starke, he has been a lifelong resident of Bradford County. He worked for his father’s plastering company for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, old cars and spending time with his family. Mr. Starling is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Hazel Starling; his wife of 56 years, Joan Starling; and his son Nick Starling.

Mr. Starling is survived by his children, Mike Starling of Lawtey, Jeff Starling of Starke, Eric Starling of Starke, and Sara Starling of Lawtey; his grandchildren, Kathy Starling, Leann Wilkerson, Eric Starling, Jr., Josh Wilkerson, Seth Starling, and Dylan Rosier; great-grandchildren, Allie Gunter, Cayden Gunter, Peyton Starling, and Wyatt Starling; his siblings, Vonda Stevens of Starke, Shad Starling of Starke, and Brad Starling of Lawtey.

A graveside service for Mr. Starling will be 3:00pm, Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Lawtey Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation time beginning at 2:00pm at the cemetery.
