Warren J. Hodges, 75, of Lake Butler passed away Sunday morning January 11, 2015 at Suwannee Valley Care Center, Haven Hospice, in Lake City after an extended illness.
He was born in Macclenny on May 19, 1939 to the late Clifford Hodges and Allie Hersey Hodges. He retired from North East Florida State Hospital as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic. He also retired from the Department of Corrections Maintenance Department. He was a member of Safe Harbor Congregational Holiness Church in Starke.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Ruth Sapp Hodges; Daughters: Caprice Johns (Charlie) of Keystone Heights; Belinda Veney (Melvin) of Silver Springs, Maryland; Becky Nettles (Tommy) of Lake Butler, Pam Cook (Robert) of Macclenny; Son: Timmy Hodges (Pennie) of Sanderson; Brothers: Idus Hodges of Lake City, David Lee Hodges (Retha) of Starke; Sisters: Linnie Mann of Macclenny and Janie Ruth Wiggins (Alford) of Sanderson; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held January 14, 2015 at Archer Memorial Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Joy Thornton officiating. Burial will take place following funeral services at Coffin Cemetery located behind Johnstown Baptist Church. Family invites friends for visitation Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 6 to 8 PM at Archer Funeral Home. The arrangements are under the care of Archer Funeral Home, Lake Butler. 386-496-2008.
