Mr. Wade Logan Andrews, Jr., age 49, of Lake Butler, Florida passed away on March 29, 2020, after a courageous fight with kidney disease and cancer. Logan was born on August 14, 1970, to the late Wade Logan Andrews, Sr. and Dorothy “Dot” Parker Andrews. He grew up in Union County and graduated from Union County High School. After school, Logan went to work for the Department of Corrections and would work for 23 years until he was forced to retire due to his illness. In 1986, Logan received a kidney transplant and it was successful for the next 34 years of his life. He also ended up battling cancer. Logan was a very strong individual who had a true fighter’s mentality. Regardless of what his body was doing, Logan lived life to the fullest. He never met a stranger and didn’t have any enemies. He had a heart of gold and was the best father a son could ask for. He enjoyed being outside fishing, hunting, and especially playing in the mud. He loved his Jeep and side by side. He was a member of Palestine Hunting Club and past member of the Union County Riding Club. Logan was preceded in death by his father, Wade Logan Andrews, Sr., and grandparents, Willie and Ruth Andrews of Lake Butler, Henry B. Parker of Ocala, and Elsie Parker of Lake Butler.
Logan is survived by his son, Dustin (Natalie) Andrews of Lake Butler, FL; his granddaughter, Paisley Grace Andrews of Lake Butler, FL; his mother, Dot Andrews of Lake Butler, FL; and uncle, Jeff Parker of Alachua, FL; numerous extended family also survive.
