Timmie Edward Padgett

Timmie Edward Padgett, age 68, of Starke, FL, passed away on October 5, 2022, at the UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville. Timmie was born on November 19, 1953, in Starke, to Willie and Shirley (Godwin) Padgett. He grew up in the Clay Hill area before eventually moving back to Starke. He was a lifelong logger and owned and operated Padgett Trucking for many years. When Timmie wasn't working, he loved to be dirt track racing. He also enjoyed watching football, fishing, and most importantly, being with family. He had a huge heart and never met a stranger. Timmie was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend and will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter, Kynslee Davis; his nephew, Dustin Smith; and siblings, Carolyn, Jackie, and Jimmy Padgett.

 

Timmie is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pamela (Doss) Padgett of Starke; his children, Kimberly Padgett (Chancy) and Keri Padgett both of Starke, Kyndel Cooper of Starke, Holly Padgett Spence (Ronnie) of Middleburg, and Joshua Smith of Starke; his grandchildren, Rebecca Nettles, Dawson Spence, and Bailey Spence; siblings, James Ernie Padgett of Starke, and Mark and Marti Padgett both of Middleburg; numerous extended family also survived.

 

A funeral to honor Timmie's life will be held on Tuesday, October 11, at 2:00 PM at the Archer-Milton Funeral Home in Lake Butler. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
