Tammy Sue Wopshall, age 51, has passed away unexpectedly in a tragic motor vehicle accident on March 25, 2024. She was born on February 17, 1973, in Vidalia, GA, to her parents Pete and Clarrissa Wilkerson Hodge.
Tammy's bright and bubbly personality endeared her to all who knew her. She had a strong will and a contagious outgoing nature that could light up any room she entered. She graduated from Union County High School before embarking on her diverse career path. Over the years, she held various roles including working as a CNA, payroll personnel, and most recently as an equipment operator.
In her free time, Tammy enjoyed cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, riding dirt roads, shopping, and most of all spending quality time with her daughters and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Cody Wopshall, and her parents Pete and Clarrissa Hodge.
Tammy leaves behind a legacy of love that will be deeply missed by her surviving family and friends. She is survived by her daughters: Carissa Rehberg of Starke, Samantha (Colten) McAlister of Lake Butler, and Shana (Hunter) Barrett of Middleburg and her cherished grandchildren: Braxton McAlister, Carver Norris, Brantley Barrett, Emersyn Barrett, and Sophia McAlister. In addition to her immediate family, Tammy is survived by her siblings: Danny Wilkerson, David Hodge, Sue Ann Page, Teresa Brown, and Pete Hodge; and her special friend Alan Davis.
Services to honor and celebrate Tammy's life will be held at Archer-Milton Funeral Home in Lake Butler on April 3, 2024. The visitation will take place from 2:00pm to 3:00pm followed by a Celebration of Life ceremony beginning at 3:00pm.
