Susan Forsyth

 Susan Ann Forsyth, age 62, of Lake Butler passed away at her home on March 15, 2023. Susie was born June 29, 1960, in Palatka to the late Tyra and Geraldine Douglas Powell. She has been a resident of Lake Butler and even lived at the same address since the age 10. 

      Susie worked for many years for the Union County School Board. She touched numerous children’s hearts throughout the years and was tenderly known as “Nanny” or ”Aunt Susie” to many. Susie loved her family and friends dearly.  Graciously she cared for many family members including her grandfather, both parents and siblings until their passing. 

     Susan is preceded in death by her parents, Tyra and Geraldine Powell, her brothers Tommy and Wayne Powell, former husband James Forsyth. Susan is survived by her daughter, Christie (Carlos) Phillips of Jacksonville, Fl Grandchildren- Aliya Perry, Alonzo Perry, and Jaquez Hendrieth

Great grandchildren-Mali’ki, Major & Lovette Vega, Kaliah Hendrieth, Ezaryah & Zyrah Perry 

Brothers-Mitchell (Eva) Powell and Terry (Tammy) Powell; and a host of extended family. 

    We would love to celebrate the life of Susie at her home on April 1, 2023, at 1 pm. In her memory, commune and fellowship with her family. If she touched your life in any way, we would love to see you there.
