Summer Elizabeth Crosby, 35, of Lake Butler, Florida passed away on November 13, 2020. She was born in West Palm Beach, Fl on January 17, 1985. She is the only daughter of Eddie and Patti Crosby. She is a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. Summer left this world unexpectedly and way too young. She attended Union County High School and graduated in 2004. Summer was active in FFA and was very successful in showing steers and heifers. In addition, Summer was a championship weightlifter traveling all over the United States for competitions. She won many gold and silver metals and too many competitions to count. Summer holds an FHSAA state record in weightlifting.
Summer loved her family and oh, how she loved her cats (Batman & Sally Ann). Summer loved her little dog “Diddy”, so much and she called him her child. He was with her 16 years until he passed a few months ago. The relationship she had with her brother, Christopher, was like none other. Summer helped take care of Christopher for the past 12 years. She has devoted those years to caring for him. She was always there when her Mom and Dad or anyone needed her for anything. Summer had an infectious smile on her face always. She was a quiet, kind soul with a heart of gold who always thought about others and put them first before herself.
We know Summer had Jesus in her heart when she left this world, and we celebrate in knowing that she is at peace with many loved ones and her little Diddy in heaven.
Summer was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents R.O. and Faye Crosby, and her maternal Granddaddy Bill Brown. She leaves behind her parents, brother Christopher and her half brother Eddie Jr., Grandma Louise Brown, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and her niece Harley. Also, her beloved cats, Batman and SallyAnn. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 19th at 2:00pm at Elzey Chapel Cemetery. All friends and family are invited for a visitation beginning at 1:00pm at the cemetery.
