Steve Allen Johns, Sr.

Steve Allen Johns, Sr. 61, of Jacksonville, Fl., passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Fl., following an extended illness.

Born August 18, 1958, in Jacksonville, Fl., to the late George Washington Johns and Betty Jean Johns. Mr. Johns was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, and he enjoyed; fishing, baseball, playing pool, and was an avid Florida Gator Fan. His grandchildren were his everything and he was a loving son, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father, one sister and one brother.

Survivors include his mother; Betty Jean Johns, of Jacksonville, Fl., son; Steve Allen Johns, Jr., of Jacksonville, Fl., two daughters; Melissa Ann Turner (Shawn Wade), of Lehigh Acres, Fl., and Carolyn Lou Johns, of Greenville, Sc., and two grandchildren; Hayden Jean Wade, and Logan Renee-Allen Wade both of Lehigh Acres, Fl., and many other family members and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Johns will be conducted on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Archer Funeral Home with Rev. Jamie Altman officiating. Interment will follow in Swift Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour (11:00-11:45) prior to the service at the funeral home.
