Stanley Franklin West

Stanley F. West 65, of Lake Butler passed away peacefully at the Suwannee Haven Hospice in Lake City. After an extended illness. Mr. West was born in Columbus, Ohio, living most of his life in Lake Butler. He was the son of the late Frank West. He was a Correctional Officer at Union Correctional Institution and retired in 2002. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Lake Butler. He got his AA Degree in Lake City Jr. College in Criminology. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years; Sue Trowell West. Mother: Anna J. West of Keystone Heights. Daughter: Michelle McLaughlin (Rick) of High Springs. Son: SFC Clay Dubose (Lindsay) US. Army Ft. Knox, Ky. Brother: Paul West (Suzanne) of St. Augustine. Sister: Paula Woods (Phil) of Keystone Heights. Grandchildren: Heather Clark (Lance): PFC Ricky McLaughlin; Kaleb DuBose; Thomas DuBose. Great Grand Children: Conner and Carly Clark. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 A M. in Archer Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ralph Durham and Rev. Roger Worten officiating.. Burial will follow in Dekle Cemetery under the care of Archer Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 8 P. M.
