Mrs. Malone went home to be with Our Lord on Monday, December 30, 2013. She was 95 years old.
Sarah was born the oldest of six children of James and Ada Hendrix in Bulloch County, Georgia on July 20, 1918. She was preceded in death by her son, Morrill E. Malone, Jr., and by her brothers Joseph, John, and Louis, and her sister Ruth Brandt. She is survived by her two grandsons, Shon and Shane, by her great-children Liam, Molly, Aubrey and Brody, by her sister Grace Muzzy, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
During her life she resided in Georgia, Jacksonville, Miami, Lake Butler, and in more recent years, Orange Park. She was retired from Eastern Air Lines. She enjoyed classical music and painting.
Sarah was a blessing to all who knew her. She was known for her loving spirit, her loyalty to family, her sense of humor and quick-wittedness, and living her life by Christian example. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Lake Butler.
Mrs. Malone's funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11 AM at Archer Funeral Home, 55 North Lake Avenue, Lake Butler, Florida. The family will receive friends before the service, beginning at 10 AM.
