Ruth Amanda Tyre

Mrs. Ruth Tyre, age 90, of Lake Butler passed away peacefully at Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City on October 5, 2021. Ruth was born in West Germany on Valentine’s Day 1931 to the late Erich and Else Herring. Prior to moving to Lake Butler in 1974, Ruth resided in Colorado Springs, CO where she worked as a hostess at the Broadmoor Resort. After moving to Lake Butler, she began working at Mid-Florida as the office manager and she continued there until her retirement. Ruth has been a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church in Lake Butler. She has also been a member of the Lake Butler Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #40, the Lake Butler Seniors Club, and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary where she was a past president.

Ruth is survived by her son, Kelly (Kathy) Tyre of Lake Butler; grandchildren, Kelley Tyre (Adam French) and Rainor Tyre; great-grandchildren, Amanda, Bradley, and Braxlynn Tyre; and her sister, Karen Thomas Boese of Colorado Springs, CO.

A service for Ruth will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Archer-Milton Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 10:00am.
