Russell Earnest Mayben

Russell Earnest Mayben, age 49, of Starke, FL passed away on June 6th in Gainesville, FL after a brave battle with renal disease. Russell was born in Gainesville, FL to the late Richard Allen, Sr. and Mary Ella Mayben. He loved carpentry and worked for 20 years with Landis Construction. Russell loved the outdoors, especially if he was fishing or camping. He never met a stranger and loved people, even treating many as his own children. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Mayben, Jr.

Russell leaves behind his wife of 20 years Mrs. Sheri Hicks Mayben; daughters, Taylor (Dalton) Cassell and Abigail Mayben; brothers, Gregory (Kammie) Mayben and Harold Mayben; brother-in-law, Jeremy Hicks; nieces, Lisa, Sadie CheyAnne and Kali; nephews, Dylan, Dawson, Brantlen and Jeremiah; great nieces, Aubrey, Rosie and Hazel.

A Celebrate of Life service for Russell will be held Saturday, June 27th at 11am at New River Baptist Church in Brooker, FL. Arrangements are under the care of Archer Funeral Home, Lake Butler. 386-496-2008. archerfuneralhome.com
