Raymond Agustus Fink met his Savior face to face on September 15, 2024, at his brother's home in Jacksonville, just days shy of his 62nd birthday. Born September 21,1962, in Long Island, New York, he grew from a hopeful child into a quiet yet generous man, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know him.
Raymond dedicated his professional life as a welder and heavy equipment operator for the Bradford County Road Department, where his commitment shone through in every project he undertook. His hands, always capable and steady, built not just roads but pathways for others, a testament to his caring nature. Beyond the confines of work, Raymond found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid fisherman and gardener, relishing the beauty of the great outdoors. With a guitar in hand and a song in his heart, he frequently serenaded friends and family, his passion for music intertwining seamlessly with his profound love for witnessing and sharing the teachings of Jesus Christ.
He is survived by a loving daughter, Leveta (Russell) Oxby, residing in Tennessee, and three cherished grandchildren—Cloe, Joseph, and Evan—whose laughter and joy brought him immense pride. His siblings, James Judson, Jr. of Brooker, John Anthony Fink of Jacksonville, Dorothy Lorane (Paul) Barnett of Aster, and Barbara Jane O'Brien of Lake Butler, carry forth his legacy, holding dear the memories they created together.
Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, James Judson Fink, Sr. and Delores Ann Normoyle Turner.
To honor his memory, a visitation will be held at Archer-Milton Funeral Home in Lake Butler, Florida, on September 19, 2024, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm in the same location. Raymond will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Crosby Lake Cemetery in Starke, next to his parents. Pastor Kent Williams of Nolan Ridge Church will officiate the service. Archer-Milton Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Raymond Fink. 386-496-2008 www.archerfuneralhome.com
