Ralph Odom

Ralph Odom, 92 of Macclenny passed away peacefully Sunday, March 9, 2014 at the Macclenny Nursing and Rehab. He was born on December 31, 1921 in Eastman, Georgia to the late King Soloman Odom and Leoma Taylor Odom. Mr. Odom is an Army Veteran and served in the South Pacific. He is a member of the New River New Congregational Methodist Church since 1964. He was a faithful member, song leader, steward and trustee for many years. He retired from Union Correctional Institute in Raiford. He is preceded in death his wife Irene Shadd Odom.

He is survived by Daughter: Sandra Odom of Macclenny, Son: Mikell Odom (Cynthia) of Macclenny; Three grandchildren: Alane, Lee and Sarah

Mr. Odoms Funeral will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 11:00 am at his church New River New Congregational Church, with Rev. Randall Griffis and Alvin Griffis officiating. Burial will follow at Pinegrove Cemetery. Family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 6-8pm at Archer Funeral Home.
