Ralph Eldredge Crutchfield

Ralph Eldredge Crutchfield, 87, passed away December 14, 2013 peacefully at his residence. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida and lived most of his life in High Springs. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in WWII in the air corp. Mr. Crutchfield worked on the Alantic coastline railroad for 42 years, and was a member of the Southside United Methodist Church in Jacksonville. He is preceded in death by his father, Eldredge E. Crutchfield and mother, Ruth Brink Crutchfield.

He is survived by wife of 63 years Dorothy Crutchfield, daughter: Melinda Sommer, son: Stephen Crutchfield (Donna): Seven grandchildren: Jamie Day, Elizabeth Osborne, Brittany Sommer, Jessie Sommer, Peter Sommer, Christopher Crutchfield, Thomas Crutchfield, Three great grandchildren: William Day, Andrew Day, Ryker Frank.

A graveside service for Mr. Crutchfield will be held Wednesday December 18, 2013 at 2:00pm for immediate family, and the family will receive friends from 3-5pm Tuesday evening at Archer Funeral home.
