Rachel Mary Kirkland

Rachel Mary Kirkland passed away peacefully at her home in Brooker on August 28, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on December 16, 1958, in Lawtey, Florida, Rachel is remembered for her simple and laid-back personality that endeared her to many.

Throughout life, Rachel embraced her role as a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by children, Ernest Kirkland of Lake Butler, Neal (Spring) Kirkland of Raiford, and Vickie Starling of Brooker. Additionally, her six grandchildren: Jason, Krystana, Emily, Michael, Bobby, and Breanna Kirkland brought her immense joy and happiness.

Rachel cherished her family and took great delight in engaging in hobbies that reflected her personality. She loved solving crossword puzzles and spent many cherished moments enjoying the companionship of her beloved fur baby, Boxer.

Rachel was also a cherished sister and is survived by her siblings: Sandra (Hubert) Thomas, Jean (Elizabeth) Gill, Sam Norman, Ann (Micky) Fountain, Vickie (Robert) Thomas, Owen Norman, and Lonnie Norman. They will remember her spirit and warmth, carrying forth the memories of their time together. Rachel is preceded in death by her parents, Ersly and Kathleen Marr Norman.

A visitation in honor of Rachel will be held at the Archer-Milton Funeral Home in Lake Butler, Florida, on September 4, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Friends, family, and all whose lives she touched are invited to come together to celebrate her life and legacy.
