Peggy Alison Heaton, a treasured mother, grandmother, and friend, was called home by our heavenly father on November 17th, 2024, at UF Health Jacksonville, due to illness from a long battle with cervical cancer. She was born on August 19th, 1973, in Alachua, Florida, the only daughter to her late mother Jessie Mae Keyes.
In her professional life, she spent almost 10 years as a DOC officer and finished her career off as an estimator at Gerber Collision. She was very committed to her work and loved what she did. No matter who she worked with they were always drawn to her because of her energy and passion for living life to the fullest. If you ever had the privilege of meeting Peggy, you definitely did not forget it.
Not only did she enjoy her work life, but she embraced all the valuable time she got to spend making memories whether that was alone or with her family. Peggy’s favorite place on earth was the beach, it didn’t matter which one, that was her happy place. One of her favorite hobbies was going fishing either off a pier or in a water hole on the side of the road. She also had a deep devotion to her faith and relationship with the Lord. Her greatest pleasure in life though, was being a mom and a grandmother.
Peggy leaves behind her dear son, Billy (Candice) Heaton, and loving daughters Ashley (Joshua) Davis and Natali (Ethan) Heaton. She was a very proud grandmother (Mum) to six grandchildren: Jaye Davis, Allie Salanci, CJ Salanci, Korbin Davis, Carson Heaton, and Israel Heaton. Peggy also leaves behind a lifetime best friend, Bill Heaton and an adoring boyfriend of several years, John Eiserman, plus numerous friends and family members in which she cared for very much. Her family will always remember her silly personality, love for life, the hard working, dedicated, strong, and kind person she was. The countless memories shared will forever be cherished by her loved ones.
