Mrs. Pauline Cobb Fillyaw, age 77, passed away peacefully at her home on October 4, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born in Lake City, FL on January 19, 1943 to the late William C., Sr. and Elise Mae Cobb. In high school she enjoyed playing clarinet in the band. She graduated from the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind in 1960. Mrs. Pauline worked as a food service manager for 30 plus years with the Department of Education Division of Blind Services until her forced retirement due to health issues. She also served as a German translator in Washington, D.C. Mrs. Pauline loved sailing/cruises, riding motorcycles and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Pauline is survived by her husband, Mr. Thomas Fillyaw; her daughter, Katherine Brailer (Todd); her son, Michael Doherty; step-daughters, Mildred, Stacey and Lora (Jere); step-son, Thomas Fillyaw, Jr. (Christina); her brother, W.C. Cobb; her sister, Margaret Henry; grandchildren, Hayden Dates, Shawn Brailer, Kevin Brailer and Amber Brailer; great grandchilden, Jayden Brailer and Ariana Hicks; numerous extended family also survives.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Pauline will be held Friday, October 9th at 11:00am at Morning Star Baptist Church, 11250 W County Road 18, Worthington Springs, FL 32054. Service will be officiated by Pastor Mike Divine and W.C. Cobb. Arrangements have been entrusted to Archer Funeral Home, Lake Butler. 386-496-2008  www.archerfuneralhome.com
