Patricia Jean Phillips

Mrs. Patricia Synstead "Pat" Phillips, age 75, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023, at 1:45am at Haven Hospice in Lake City, Fl following an extended illness. She was born September 20, 1947, in Marinette, WI, to the late Carl and Dorothy Synstead. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Wayne Synstead, sister, Janice Gingras, and brother-in-law, Bill Gingras.

On July 7, 1984, she married Ron Phillips in Pinellas Park, FL and they spent 39 wonderful years together.

Pat received a degree in business from St. Pete Jr. College and worked as head secretary for the business center at the College of the Albemarle in Elizabeth City, NC and retired from Honeywell Aerospace in 1984 as an Executive Secretary in Clearwater, FL. In her retirement, Pat managed Bill's Fish Camp in Suwannee, FL where she met and befriended people from all over.

Pat enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling and all that the outdoors had to offer. Alaska, Montana, California, The Grand Canyon, and Italy are just a few of the places she visited. She loved animals and her big black cat Lucky was her best friend the last 10 years. With her infectious smile, Pat always lit up a room. She loved life and everyone in it.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Phillips; daughter, Deborah (George) Woods of Tampa; Step-Son, Chad (Elizabeth) Phillips of Mayo; grandchildren, Cameron Phillips, Courtney Phillips, and Emma Revels.

A memorial service will be held Friday, May 26th at 11:00am at Airline Baptist Church in Mayo, FL with a meal provided at the fellowship hall after. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Archer-Milton Funeral Home, Lake Butler. 386-496-2008 www.archerfuneralhome.com
