Omie "Judy" Julianne Palmer

Ms. Omie “Judy” Palmer, age 70, of Lake Butler, FL passed away on December 18, 2020 at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL. Ms. Judy was born on November 24, 1950 to Thomas Harlow Kerce and Omie Alderman. She married the love of her life, Marshall Palmer Sr, at the age of 16 and they moved to the Lulu area. She went to work in the Accounting Department for the Department of Corrections and worked there for 25 years until her retirement. She loved taking care of her animals and tending her flowers. She was a loving family woman and will be deeply missed. She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years. Marshall Palmer, Sr, and her parents, Thomas and Omie.

Ms. Judy is survived by her son, Marshall Palmer, Jr. (Teresa) of Lake Butler; her grandchildren, Samantha Crews (Drew) of Lake Butler, Zackery Palmer of Texas, Kierstan Palmer of Gainesville, and Stephanie Thomas (Jason) of Lake City; great-grandchildren, Kanon, Kol, Kamille, Hunter, Hannah, Hayley, and Zachary; her sisters, Karen Epstein (Rick) of Orlando and Doris Anderson (Jim) of Lake Butler; numerous extended family also survive.

A funeral to honor Ms. Judy’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 22, at 11:00 at the Archer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday, December 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Her interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
