Nancy Lee Hendrix Nuttall, age 78, of Palatka, FL passed away peacefully on April 29, 2021, at Haven – Roberts Hospice Care Center surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was born August 17, 1942 in Clearwater, FL to Cecil and Ella Ratley. After graduating from Clearwater High School in 1960, Nancy married her high school sweetheart Richard when she began her life as a Navy wife. After several duty stations abroad including Japan and Puerto Rico they returned to the states where Nancy went on to pursue her career as an over the road car hauler. She later retired from Commercial Carrriers Inc and was a member of Teamsters Local 512. She was also a co-owner of “Mama’s Stables” a horse farm in Waldo, FL for 20 years. After the loss of her husband of 45 years, Nancy met and married her second love Jack Nuttall. She enjoyed traveling the world with him and they frequently visited England to visit Jack’s children and their families. She enjoyed playing pool and spending time with her friends at Steamboat Willie’s. Nancy was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved time spent with her children and grandchildren. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Hendrix; her brothers Albert and Fred Ratley.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Jack Nuttall of Palatka; sons, Dwain Hendrix of Hampton; Dean (Melissa) Hendrix of Lake Butler; daughter Teri Brennan of Hawthorne; brother, Bruce Ratley of Brooksville; granddaughters, Christina Hendrix of Alabama, Brittany Hendrix of Tampa, and Sara Hendrix of Lake Butler; grandson, Scott Brennan of Cocoa; and great-grandson, Michael Sanchez of Alabama
A graveside service to honor Nancy’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, at Brooksville Cemetery in Brooksville, FL. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, May 5, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Archer-Milton Funeral Home in Lake Butler, FL.
