Nancy Sanctuary Moore, a longtime resident of Lake Butler, FL passed away on August, 22nd 2017 at Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL.
Nancy was born on January 31, 1939 in Jamestown, NY and graduated from Mainland Senior High in Daytona Beach, FL. After receiving her degree as a registered nurse from Brevard Community College, Nancy worked at Lake Butler Hand Hospital, as a nursing supervisor at Lake City Medical Center and finished her career as a home health nurse at Shands Hospital serving the residents of Lake Butler and the surrounding area. Nancy's caring and compassionate nature and skill as a nurse was welcomed by those she worked with and the patients whose lives she made better.
Nancy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her large and extended family. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rachael Tillman of Lake Butler, FL and is survived by her husband Thomas E. Moore, Jr of Lake Butler, FL, her sister Sue Barmore of Dewittville, NY, her children Bill Rosier of Melbourne, FL, Michael Rosier of Orlando, FL, Lisa Nelson of Melbourne, FL , Scott Rosier of Orlando FL and her stepchildren Kathryn Rubel of Palm Bay, FL, Thomas E. Moore III of Palm Bay, FL, Jean Riggs of Sebastian, FL, Paul Moore of Palm Bay, FL, Phillip Moore of Palm Bay, FL, and Patrick Moore of Port St. Lucie, FL. Nancy also had 27 grandchildren and 7 greatgrandchildren.
Nancy enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, baking and spending time with her family. She could always be counted on for a bright smile, a warm hug, and a comforting word that made the lives of those around her better. There will be a reception at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints following the graveside service. All relatives and friends are welcome to attend.
