Nadine Brierton Faulk, age 58, of Lake Butler, FL passed away on November 22, 2020 at her home. She was born on February 3, 1962, in Chicago, IL to David Brierton and JoAnn DelaPaz Brierton. At age 15, Mrs. Nadine’s family moved to Lake Butler and she began school at Union County High where she graduated in 1980. After graduation, Mrs. Nadine attended University of North Florida where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Education. Nadine soon got a job at Lake Butler Elementary and for the next 36 years she taught countless 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders. She was a part of a team of teachers who helped LBES earn the A+ rating for about 14 years. She was also a part of the #1 FCAT writing scores in the state of Florida. Mrs. Nadine enjoyed crafts, especially woodworking, and her animals. She was known for rescuing every type of animal from cats to squirrels to reptiles. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed.
Mrs. Nadine is preceded in death by her father, David Brierton, Sr.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Carlton Faulk of Worthington Springs; her children, Kristen (Andy) Adams of Alachua, Joey III (Jeanna) Norman of Lake Butler, and Amber (Benji) Faulk of Palm Coast, FL; grandchildren, Kadence, Braden, Jillian, Joey IV, and Legend; her mother, JoAnn Brierton of Tallahassee, FL; her brothers, David Jr. (Deborah) Brierton of Tallahassee, FL and James (Ana Maria) Brierton of Sebring, FL; nieces and nephews, Katharina, Josh, David III, Joseph, Jennifer, JoAnn, Jason, and Daniel; and 5 great-nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor Mrs. Nadine will be held Saturday, November 28th at 11:00am at the Union County High School Auditorium. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 10:00am. She will be laid to rest at Fort Call Cemetery in Worthington Springs. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Archer Funeral Home, Lake Butler. 386-496-2008. www.archerfuneralhome.com
