Gainesville: Katherine Lorain Williams born June 4, 1924 died September 16, 2015. She was the daughter of David C. Williams and Bernice NesSmith Williams Hilliard. She was born in Gainesville and lived most of her life in this area. She graduated from Alachua High School. She attended business school at Ocala. After school she worked for "MMG" McCrory, McClellan, Green stores for 31 ½ years. After she retired she worked for Ben Franklin which changed it's name to Crafts and Stuff for 20 years and retired again. She was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ for over 60 years. She served as Elder, Treasure, Sunday School Teacher, President of Christian Women Fellowship, and chairperson of other departments in the church.
She is survived by several Nieces & Nephews
Funeral Services will be Monday, September 21 at 11:00 am at Archer Memorial Chapel in Lake Butler. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Arrangements are under the care of Archer Funeral Home in Lake Butler. 386-496-2008.
