Lake Butler; Mrs. Irene Harriett Vinzant Parrish, age 92, of Providence passed away peacefully Tuesday morning September 10, 2013 at the Suwannee Valley Haven Hospice Care Center after an extended illness. Mrs. Parrish was born on June 18, 1921 in High Springs to the late Jarvis and Willie Vaughn Vinzant. Mrs. Parrish lived most of her life in the Union County area and was a member of the Philippi Baptist Church. Mrs. Parrish worked for the Copeland Sausage Company as a vendor for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always had her family first in her mind in everything she did. Mrs. Parrish is preceded in death by her loving husband Mr. G.W. Parrish and a son: Tony Bielling.
Mrs. Parrish is survived by her daughter: Mickey Pons of Newberry; sons: Tommy Bielling (Barbara) of Alachua and Toby Bielling of Santa Ana, California; step-daughters: Linda Andrews Scott (Jeff) of Providence and Charlotte Townsend (Ray) of Providence; step-sons: George "Bud" Parrish of Lake Butler and Don Parrish (Patricia) of Providence; sister: Idell Holder of Lake City; Sister-in-law: Kay Bielling of Ft. White, thirty-one grandchildren, fifty-one great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Parrish will be conducted on Friday September 13, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. in the chapel of Archer Funeral Home with Elder Herman Griffin officiating. Internment will follow in the Elzey Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening September 12, 2013 from 6-8P.M. at the funeral home.
