Mrs. Edith J Kennan

Waldo: Edith Bennett Kennan, 84, passed away peacefully Monday, December 9, 2013 at Shands UF Hospital with her family by her side. Mrs. Kennan was born in Stateburg, South Carolina to the late James Bennett and Maud Virginia Paul Bennett. She enjoyed sewing and her flowers. Ms. Kennan was a member of Morgan Rd Baptist Church. She lived most of her life in Waldo, Fl and she is preceded in death by her husband: George Anthony Kennan Sr.
She is survived by her daughters: Carolyn Phillips of Keystone Heights, Elaine Kennan of Waldo, Paula Horton (Bill) of Waldo, and Stephanie Sneed (John) of Gainesville, Son: Tony Keenan Jr (Elaine) of Waldo, sister: Frances Boyce of Charleston, SC, 9 Grandchildren and 28 Great Grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Kennan will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Archer Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie Broome and Rev. Al Paulson. Burial with be at Crosby Lake Cemetery in Starke, Florida. Family will have a visitation Friday from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home. Archer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements 386-496-2008.
