Mr Jimmy David Lavender

Jimmy David Lavender, 68, of Gainesville passed away peacefully on October 15, 2015, at the E.T. York Haven Hospice in Gainesville , Florida . He was born in Starke , Florida . He lived where he was raised until moving to Gainesville . He was the son of the late James Lavender and Aziel Jackson Lavender. He graduated from Bradford County High School . He was a butcher with Publix in Gainesville . He was a member the National Guard.

He survived by: 1 son: David Lavender of Gainesville .
1 Grandson: Josiah of Gainesville .
4 Sisters: Pearl Dyer (Fred) of Lake City , Debbie Coleman (Knute) of Horse Shoe Beach , Sharon Mac Neil (Rob) of Gainesville , and Gail Knowles (Jimmy) of Nashville , Ga.


Funeral will be held Wednesday morning October 21, 2015 at 11:00am in the Archer Memorial Chapel. The visitation will be held an hour before the service at 10:00am. The burial will be at Dekle Cemetery . Archer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. 386-496-2008
