James Purnell Colombo, 70 of Lake Butler died early Wednesday morning October 30, 2013 of natural causes. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He never met a stranger and always had a few jokes to tell. He would go up to a total stranger and ask them if they knew what a satisfied woman said the next morning. Their usual reply was no. He would then say, "I didn't think you did, there is one you can use." Their girlfriends or male friends would be laughing. Then Jim would walk away.

He retired in March 2005 and relocated to Lake Butler, FL to be close to his wife's family. He was an avid fisherman and took several trips to Ottawa, Canada with eleven of his closest male friends. He would regale almost anyone who would listen with stories of his fishing trips and have them laughing out loud, many times to the point of tears .He will be greatly missed but he is in a better place and he died the way he wanted to, quickly and with no regrets.
