Morris "Deno" Sparks

Morris Dean "Deano aka Punky" Sparks, 65, of Lake Butler passed away June 26, 2016. Mr. Sparks was born in Mullens, WV to the late Madelyn Pugh and Wirt "Cash" Sparks. Mr. Sparks lived in Union County for over 40 years, after moving from Itmann, WV to Gainesville, FL, and settling in Lake Butler. Mr. Sparks worked for twenty years at Florida Hydrocarbons Natural Gas Refinery in Brooker, FL and was a saved Christian. Mr. Sparks was preceded in death by the love of his life, wife Shannon Munden Sparks, brother Robert "Bob" Clay and sister Kathy "Cissy" Betancourt.

Mr. Sparks is survived by his cherished daughter Deanna Marie Griffis of Lake Butler, son Jason Dean Sparks of St. Augustine, FL, his beloved brothers Franklin Felix "Tink" Sparks of Providence, FL, Jack Gale Sparks of Starke, FL, darling sister Susan Elaine "Bug" Sparks of Gainesville, FL, his treasured grandchildren Justin (Anya) Griffis of Starke, Ericka Lauren, Dillon Morley and Dawson Morris Griffis of Lake Butler and two great grandchildren Jackson Kyle and Waylon David Griffis, family, friends and loved ones.

The family will hold a remembrance of Dean's life Saturday July 23 at Union Baptist Church 455 W Main St Lake Butler, high noon.
