Marvin Hodge, Jr.

Mr. Marvin Hodge, Jr., age 77, passed away on April 23, 2019 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka, Florida. Mr. Hodge was born July 17, 1941 to the late Thomas Marvin Hodge and Rachel Tyson. He spent the early part of his life in Stewart, Florida, however, the last 21 years he resided in Palatka. Mr. Hodge worked as a car salesman; buying cars at auctions and reselling them. He was an outdoors man who also enjoyed watching Atlanta Braves baseball and NASCAR. He enjoyed having friends and family over for cookouts in the backyard. Mr. Hodge was especially proud of his grandchildren and loved them dearly. Mr. Hodge is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Evelyn Hodge.

Mr. Hodge is survived by his 3 daughters, Michelle (Bruce) Gibson of Salt Springs, FL, Cindy (Danny Lucus) Hodge of Port St. Lucie, FL and Lisa (William Maldonado) Williams of Nassau, NY; grandchildren, Kacy, Randi and Sean Gibson, DJ Lucas, Joseph, Christopher, Dylan and Skylar Kenna; sister, Marcile (Jiggs) Cruse of High Springs, FL.

A graveside service to honor Mr. Hodge will be Thursday, April 25, 2019, at 3pm at Spring Ridge Cemetery in High Springs, FL. Family will receive friends beginning at 2:30pm (30 minutes prior).  Service will be officiated by Pastor Ryan Raymond.
