Mark Andrew O'Steen, age 44, passed away on January 28, 2025, at UF Health Shands in Gainesville, Florida. He was born on August 23, 1980, in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Mark was well loved by many, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A dedicated employee, Mark took pride in in profession as a refrigeration mechanic for Goodwin Refrigeration. Throughout his life, Mark was known for his passion for fishing and riding motorcycles, pursuits that brought him joy and allowed him to connect with nature and enjoy the thrill of the open road. His cheerful personality and warm heart made him a central figure in the lives of family and friends, and his presence will be deeply missed.
Mark is survived by his wife, Amy O'Steen; son, Colin O'Steen; his father, Steve (Sandra) O'Steen of Alachua; his mother, Marie Bonifacino of Melrose; his sisters, Rebecca Crowers of Pompano Beach and Sarah Thompson (J.T.) of Melrose; and his nieces and nephews, Gavin, Dylan, Halle, Jack, and Adaline; Grandma Loca, Uncle Scott of Newberry; and many more family members between Pennsylvania and Florida.
As we remember Mark, we celebrate the joy he brought into our lives, his dedication to his craft, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His legacy will continue through those who knew him, and he will be remembered fondly in every fishing trip and motorcycle ride that follows.
