Marian Virginia McFarland

Marian Virginia McFarland, age 97, passed away peacefully on September 4,2024, at her daughter’s home in Ocklawaha, Florida. Born and raised in Welborn, Florida, Marian lived a life rich with love and dedication to her family and friends.

For many years, Marian showcased her remarkable capabilities as a manager for a manufacturing company. Marian had an unquenchable passion for nurturing her garden, tending to her flowers and yardwork, which mirrored her nurturing spirit in her relationships with her children and grandchildren. For it was her family that brought her the greatest joy. 

Marian was enriched by the warmth of her family. She is survived by her grandchildren: Janet Barstow, Samantha McFarland, Forest Garber, Wendy Culver, Charles McFarland, Shannon McFarland, Amanda McFarland, Melissa McFarland, Carrie McFarland, and Della McFarland. Her legacy continues through her 19 great-grandchildren and17 great-great-grandchildren, who will always carry forward her love.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles McFarland, who was her lifelong partner in every sense. The heartbreak of losing her daughter, Janice Garber, and sons Randal McFarland, Charles McFarland, and Michael McFarland, only deepened the love she instilled in family. 

A visitation will be held in her honor on September 9, 2024, from 2:00pm to 3:00pm, followed a funeral service at 3:00pm at Bayless Highway Baptist Church in Starke, Florida.
