Lloyd "LJ" James Padgett

Mr. Lloyd James “LJ” Padgett, age 47, of Lawtey, FL passed away on August 30th at Shands UF in Gainesville, FL. He was born September 20, 1972 in Gainesville to the late Cecil and Jannie Griffis Padgett. LJ was a lifelong resident of Lawtey and worked in construction. He loved to fish, hunt and play in the mud with his ATV or truck. He loved life and especially his kids. LJ is preceded in death by his parents.

LJ is survived by his partner of 25 years, Stacie Bentley of Lawtey; his son, Jay Padgett of Lawtey; his daughter, Victoria (Daniel Woods) Padgett of Starke; his brother, John (Alicia) Padgett of Starke; nephew, Collie Padgett of Starke, nieces, Masey Padgett, Kelsey Padgett both of Starke, Kinsley Padgett of Defuniak Springs and Kaya Crawford of Starke; numerous extended family and friends also survive.

A service to honor LJ will be held Tuesday, September 8th at 11:00am at the Archer Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 10:00am. LJ will be laid to rest at Dedan Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Rev. Mike Conner.
