Lesley Marie Young

Mrs. Lesley Marie Young, age 26, of Worthington Springs, passed away on October 13, after she was involved in a vehicle accident. She was born on February 23, 1995, in Gainesville. Lesley grew up in Brooker and moved to Lake Butler in 2008. She attended Union County High School where she was the band captain and graduated in 2013. After graduation, Lesley began working with McDonald’s where she worked her way up to manager. She loved shopping and being on the go. She wanted to be around others and enjoyed spending time with family and friends but above all, she loved being a mother and spending time with her two children. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Donna Faye Rosa.

Lesley is survived by her husband of almost 7 years, Andrew Young of Worthington Springs; her children, Grayson and Emilee Young of Worthington Springs; her parents, Shawn and Amy Miller of Worthington Springs; her sister, Haley (Phoenix) Houston of Worthington Springs; brother, Logan Miller of Worthington Springs; her nephews, Jasper Houston, Holton Smith, and Dylan James; grandparents, Robert and Sylvia Fletcher of Brooker and Steve Miller of Fanning Springs; and a host of extended family also survive.
A funeral to honor Lesley’s life will be held on Monday, October 18, at 4:00 pm at Sardis Baptist Church. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Sunday, October 17, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the church. Her interment will be at Fort Call Cemetery in Worthington Springs and her services will be officiated by Bro. Tim Rose and Bro. Paul O’Steen.
