LaWanda Quinn

Mrs. LaWanda Reames Quinn, age 68, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 19, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital in Gainesville, FL. LaWanda was born in Alma, Georgia to the late William P. and Ruby Clements Reames. In 1967, LaWanda married the love of her life, Mr. Robert Quinn. She worked as a Probation Officer for the Department of Corrections. LaWanda enjoyed learning new things, reading and making crafts, but she mostly loved spending time with her family. LaWanda is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Mr. Robert Quinn of Starke, FL; daughters, Sandy Quinn Oden and Cindy (Kyle) Halfacre both of Lake Butler; grandchildren, Kale, Karah, Ian and Holly; brothers, Calvin (Song) Reames, Tommy Reames, Junior Reames and Curtis Reames; sisters, Betty Moody, Mary Luke, Ruby McClellan and LaVinia Judd.

A service to honor LaWanda will be held Tuesday, February 25th at 11am at the First Baptist Church of Starke. Family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday from 6pm – 8pm at the church.
