Lauretta Maria Williams-Wright was born on September 24, 1967 in Venice, Florida. Lauretta was one of seven children to Fred and Laura Williams. Lauretta attended Union County High School and later continued her education as a CPA at Lake City Community College. Lauretta always knew providing for her children was important; for 15 years she worked at the Department of Corrections. Lauretta also worked in group homes, school districts and state hospitals. A woman of many talents who loved help whenever possible. Lauretta would always tell reminisce and tell stories on how it was growing up on the Island of Boca Grande and living in a house on stilts. Fishing became enjoyable and she loved to enjoy this time with her fiancé. Lauretta's life changed when she became a mother at the age of 21. Lauretta was very family oriented. Holiday, birthdays, you name it and Lauretta was on it. She always taught her children and family the importance behind everything and keeping the family together. Lauretta was the family "Rock". Strong, Solid, Dependable woman of God was she. Lauretta is preceded in death by her father Fred Williams. Lauretta leaves to cherish her precious memories: three children, Kenneth Leonard Wright Jr, Kendall Leon Wright (Shelby) and Laurissa Marshae Johnson. Grandchildren: Vionne, London, Kyndavia, Taylor, Quincy, Autum, Kieren, Brandon, A'mia, Adarius and Kenneth III. Mother, Laura; siblings, Willie Bill Williams (Angela), Ralph Williams, Fredrick Williams (Bonisa), Geraldine Robinson, Patricia Williams and Sandra Perry (Michael). God Children: Alphonso Edwards (Danielle) and Alisa Edwards-Jackson (Mathis). Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. With great sadness and appreciation Lauretta also leaves behind her companion and devoted loving fiancé, Kaiser Lee Pontoon, who stayed by her bedside around the clock. Lauretta was well known & loved by many. Although her life may have seemed too short to many, those whose lives were touched by her know that the quality of existence far exceeds the quality of time in which you live it! Sister Lauretta Wright was granted her angel wings on September 17, 2018...Exactly one week prior to her 51st Birthday; when she stepped into eternity and accepted her place at home with the Lord. Lauretta answered the call and never looked back as she was elevated from this transitional place to her Eternal Home...PEACE
