Kenneth Lee Snyder

February 8, 1962 — February 15, 2025

Lake Butler

Kenneth "Kenny" Lee Snyder, age 63, was born on February 8, 1962, in Lake Butler, Florida and passed away on February 15, 2025, at HCA North Florida Regional Hospital in Gainesville.

Kenny devoted a great part of his life to the solid waste department for Union County, where he worked with dedication and pride. But he was more than just a hardworking man; he was a true country boy, whose heartbeat for his family and the land he loved. Farming was a way of life for Kenny. From tending cows to spending long days fishing, he found joy in simple pleasures - the kind that only come from putting your hands in the good earth and being surrounded by the natural beauty of Florida.

Family was everything to Kenny. He was a proud father to his three lovely daughters: Casandra Snyder, Brandy Snyder, and Brittney, who was married to Bruce Pease. His heart swelled with joy as he watched his grandchildren, Halen Davis, Jaiden Johnson, Barbara Ann Pease, and Nickenna, grow. He cherished every moment spent with them. Kenneth is also survived by his siblings, Tommy (Karen) Snyder and Patricia (Johnny) Benefield; an uncle, Harry Snyder; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Judith Ann Snyder and brother, Benny.

One could hardly mention Kenny without talking about his beloved brother, Benny Snyder. The two were as thick as thieves, inseparable in every aspect of life. They worked at the County, shared laughter over stories, and took immense pride in their land together. Tragically, Benny passed away just two weeks prior to Kenny, leaving a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew them.

In true Kenny and Benny fashion, a Celebration of Life will be held for them together. The service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Archer-Milton Funeral Home in Lake Butler, beginning at 5:00pm. The family invites friends to reminisce on the good times they had together. Archer-Milton Funeral Home is honored to serve the Snyder family during this difficult time. 386-496-2008 www.archerfuneralhome.com
