Julia J Lyons

Julia J. Emkens Lyons, 76, of Brooker passed away July 20, 2015 at Shands at UF after a brief illness. She was born in Tampa, Florida. She lived most of her life in Mango and Brooker Florida. She was preceded in death by her Father William Emkens. She was a cake decorator for Winn Dixie and Sams Club for many years. She enjoyed fishing, camping, t.v., decorating cakes and working with puzzles. She attended Bayless Highway Baptist Church C.R. 225 Starke.

She is survived by :

2 Daughters: Evelyn Bass of Brooker and Anita Bright of Seffner, Florida
2 Sons: Allen Bell of Mango, FL and William Roberts of Gainesville
Her Mother: Evelyn M. Franklin Emkens
6 Grandchildren & 13 Great Grandchildren
1 Brother: James Emkens of Brooker
1 Sister: Betty Carter of Brooker, Several Nieces & Nephews

Funeral Services will be held Monday July 27, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Bayless Highway Baptist Church C.R. 225 Starke. A visitation for friends and family will be held at 10:00 am at the church before the services. Burial will be held at 3:00 pm at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery in Madison Florida.
