John A Pennigsdorf, Jr., a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Keystone Heights on June 24, 2023. He was born on June 18, 2000, in Waukegan, IL, to his loving parents, the late John Pennigsdorf Sr. and Casandra Cis.

John lived a life filled with adventure and passion. He dedicated his career to working in concrete and landscaping, leaving a lasting mark on the places he touched. Outside of work, John's true joy came from immersing himself in the great outdoors. Whether it was fishing by the serene lakeside, embarking on camping trips with friends and family, or indulging in any water-related activities that brought him closer to the elements he held dear, John found solace and happiness surrounded by nature's beauty. When not exploring the outdoors, John could often be found riding his long board through the streets or engrossed in exhilarating video games that allowed him to unlock new realms of excitement and adventure. These hobbies served as an escape for him, allowing him to navigate different worlds while creating lasting memories with those who shared his passion.

John leaves behind cherished memories within the hearts of his loved ones: his mother Casandra Cis; step-father Jeremy Chirico; children Zaiden Pennigsdorf and Aurora Bond; brothers Chase Pennigsdorf and Ben Lawfer; sisters Charity Pennigsdorf, Jackie (Nathan) McCallister, and Emma Hatfield. He also leaves behind his beloved girlfriend Victoria Nettles, who was not only his partner but also his confidante and source of unwavering support.

Family and friends are invited to gather together to pay their respects and celebrate John's life at Trinity Baptist Church in Keystone Heights on July 13, 2023. The visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 PM. The final burial will take place at Keystone Heights Cemetery immediately following the service.
