Jeannette "Ms. Jet" S. Carroll

Jeannette S. Carroll, “Ms. Jet”, passed away at her home on February 14, 2022. Ms. Jet was born in Dover, FL on September 15, 1935, to the late George and Eva Ellison Cumbie. She moved to Lake Butler in 1985 and shortly after started Jet’s Clothing Store. Ms. Jet had a big personality and loved interacting with people. She also was an avid reader who enjoyed to crochet, play the organ and dance in her younger days. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 35 years, Rance Carroll; brother, Bill Cumbie; and sisters, Betty Horn and Madeline Glass.

Ms. Jet is survived by her sons, Mark (Barbara) Jetton of Oak Hill, FL and James Jetton of Lake Butler; her daughters, Cynthia (Frank) Ball and Tina (Dennis) Coppola both of New Smyrna Beach, FL; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

A service to honor Ms. Jet will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Archer-Milton Funeral Home, Lake Butler, FL. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Ms. Jet will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Dekle Cemetery next to her husband.
