Mrs. Jeanette Thomas Bonilla passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on February 10, 2023. She was born August 21, 1936, in Lake Butler to the late Fred and Bernice Pearce Thomas. Mrs. Jeanette was a simple, yet classy lady. She enjoyed tending to her flower garden, was an avid reader, and loved her family and friends dearly. In 1968, she married the love of her life, J.J. Bonilla and they enjoyed a wonderful life together until his passing in 2000. She lived the majority of her life in Lake Butler and was a member of Lulu Baptist Church. Mrs. Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Bernice Thomas; her husband, Joseph “J.J.” Bonilla; her daughter, Robin “Lynne” Green; and her brothers, Leon and Ray Thomas.

Mrs. Jeanette is survived by her son, Gregory Alex (Angie) Green of Lulu; daughter, Ginger (Mike) McCranie of Lake City; her grandsons, Lance (Bobbie Jo) Green, Zane McCranie, Jake McCranie, and Spencer McCraine; her sisters, Marjorie Smith of Providence, Betty Thomas of Lake Butler, and Louise Rogers of Lake City; sister-in-law, Diana Thomas; and a host of nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.

A service to honor Jeanette’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 15, at 2:00 pm at New Zion Cemetery in Lulu. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Archer-Milton Funeral Home, Lake Butler, FL. 386-496-2008. www.ArcherFuneralHome.com
