Janice Magee

Janice Lorraine Bridwell Magee, 85, of Lake Butler passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 following an extended illness. Mrs. Magee was born to the late John and Iva Bernice Roberts Bridwell in St. Petersburg, FL, but she had spent most of her life in the Union County area. Mrs. Magee was a graduate of Florida State University, and she was a member of the Lake Butler Women's Club, and the First Christian Church of Lake Butler. Mrs. Magee was preceded in death by her brother John Bridwell.

Mrs. Magee is survived by her daughter Melissa Lynch (Stephen) of Lake Butler, her sons Robert Magee, II (Marres) of Stafford, VA and Brian Magee (Karen) of Gainesville, FL, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, her beloved niece, nephews, and a host of cousins.

Funeral services for Mrs. Magee will be held 3:30 PM Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the First Christian Church of Lake Butler, with Brother Art Peterson and Pastor Shane Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Dekle Cemetery in Lake Butler. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 PM. Flowers will be accepted, but memorial donations may be made to the Union County Public Library.
