James Corbett Keene

Keene, James C. (Papa Jake): February 21, 1919 - April 7, 2015 of Brooker, Florida formerly of Tampa, Florida. He was a retired CSX conductor, United Transportation Unit Local Chairman, CCC Secretary, WWII Vet USN, Tri county umpire for high school volley ball, soft ball and basket ball. He was also a little league coach, and active community leader. Mr. Keene is predeceased by wife Lorena, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.





He is survived by his wife of 26 years Mary Dell; Daughters: Carol Cook of Tampa, Florida, Jackie Ingram of Williston Florida, Linda Kay Van Wey of Valdosta, Georgia and Joyce Ann Estrada of Ridge Manor, Florida; Step Children: Nancy Replogle of Starke, Florida, Peggy Brown of White Springs, Florida, Katherine Stearns of St. Augustine, Florida and Thomas Crocker of Brooker Florida; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; Special Loved Ones, grandson Petty Officer 1st Class Charles Stearns USN, grand daughter Connie Futch and Step daughter Peggy Brown.





Services for Mr. Keene will be held Friday, April 10, 2015 at 2:00pm in the Archer Memorial Chapel. Burial will take place following funeral services at Dedan Cemetery in Brooker, Florida. The family invites friends for a visitation Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 6 to 8pm at Archer Funeral Home. The arrangements are under the care of Archer Funeral Home, Lake Butler. 386-496-2008
