James Willard "J.W." Griffis

James "J.W." Willard Griffis "PAPA", 71, of Raiford, Florida passed away at his home Saturday, January 20, 2018.
J.W. was born in Macclenny, Florida. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for two years. J.W. retired from the Northeast Florida State Hospital. He was a devoted father, PAPA, and friend. J.W. loved to fish, hunt, and spend time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends. He was known for his contagious laugh and willingness to help anyone. J.W. is preceded in death by his parents John and Lillie Griffis; sister Lizzie Griffis; brothers Ellis, Clyde, Owen, and Louis; wife Sandra Griffis; grandson "DJ".
J.W. leaves to cherish his memories his 2 daughters: Christy (Anthony) Bell and Jessica (Coty) Ausgood-Turner; brother Randy (Cathy) Griffis; grandchildren James, Nicole, Delvin, Christopher, Imari, Jaiden, Nate, Alairah, Cherish, Sonja, Zakeria, Sylvester, & Miya; Special Cousin Carl Griffis and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family, and devoted friends.
