James Hayward Bruner

Mr. James Hayward Bruner, 67 of rural Lake Butler passed away peacefully at the Windsor Health & Rehabilitation Center of Starke Friday, October 12, 2018, after an extended illness. Mr. Bruner was born in Niceville, FL and had lived near Lake Butler since 1984. He was a Product Control Manager for General Electric near Hague before his retirement. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1974 as an industrial engineer and was a huge Gator fan. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Butler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Andrews Bruner; a daughter, Rachel Waters; his parents, H.A. and Jane Chance Bruner; a brother, Dale Bruner.

Mr. Bruner is survived by:
2 Brothers: Donnell Bruner of California and John Bruner of Jacksonville.
1 Sister: Mary Morgan of Hickory Flat, Georgia.
3 Grandchildren: Brittney Alfonso of Lake Butler; Richard Waters of Lake Butler; Ryan Waters of Rome,
Georgia.
3 Great grandchildren: Katie, Rachel and Cason.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Archer Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at Elzey Chapel Cemetery near Worthington Springs. Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M.
