Iris Coleen Johnson

Mrs. Iris Coleen Johnson, age 74, of Starke, Florida passed away peacefully on September 30, 2020 at her home. She was born on August 11, 1946, in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Roger and JoAnn Garrison. She has lived in the Starke area for the last 16 years. She was a homemaker who loved to read, enjoyed cooking and canning vegetables, and most importantly, raising her kids and grandkids. She was a member of Trinity Lighthouse Church. Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by her parents and by her sister, Debbie Depew.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Ernest “Tator” Johnson of Starke, FL; her children, Jeanette Marie (Robert) Warner of Bybee, TN, Kimberly Ann (Shane) Brooks of Christmas, FL, Nick Allen (Allison) Johnson of Cocoa, FL, and Joshua Johnson of Deltona, FL; grandchildren, Brandon, Chelsea, Hannah, Dalton, Luke, Caleb, Adriana, Noah, Beau, Emma, Ashlee, and Joshua; great grandchildren, Jace, Payton, Riley, Raegan, Prayder, Kaylee, Colton, Teddy, Susie, Tyson, and Sebastian; siblings, Karen (Bill) Freeland of Kenaville, IN and Lee (Chrissy) Garrison of Sanford, FL; numerous extended family also survive.

A funeral service to honor Mrs. Johnson’s life will be held on Saturday, October 10, at 2:00 pm at her church, Trinity Lighthouse Church, 325 N. Christian Street in Starke, FL. The family will receive friends for a visitation and gathering on Friday, October 9th from 6-8:00 pm at her church. Services will be officiated by Pastor Terry Qualls.
