Mrs. Iona Aziel Jackson Lavender, 91, passed away Friday morning July 24, 2015 at the home of her daughter after a brief illness. Mrs. Lavender was born in Opp, Alabama to the late Martin Jackson and Irene Bradley Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband James Franklin Lavender. She was a homemaker taking care of her husband and family. She was a member of North Gainesville Baptist Church. She and family lived in the New River section of Bradford County for many years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, visiting and taking care of her friends and family, she enjoyed sewing for her friends and family from her home where she loved being with family and friends.
She is survived by:
4 Daughters: Pearl (Fred) Dyer of Lake City, Deborah (Knute) Coleman of Lynn Haven FL, Sharon (Rob) MacNeille of Gainesville Florida, and Gail (Jimmy) Knowles of Nashville, Georgia.
1 Son: Jimmy Lavender of Gainesville, Florida

Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 28, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Archer Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Dekle Cemetery In Lake Butler, Florida. Arrangements are under the care of Archer Funeral Home in Lake Butler. 386-496-2008
